Steven Gerrard has spoken about his "unfinished business" in management as rumours link him with a return to Rangers.

The former Rangers boss discussed his managerial ambitions in an interview with Rio Ferdinand on Ferdinand's YouTube channel, as speculation mounts about a second stint at Ibrox.

The 45-year-old is currently based in Bahrain, and since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, there have been suggestions of potential complications in returning to the UK.

Alongside fellow contender Derek McInnes, Gerrard is seen as a strong candidate to fill the managerial post.

During the interview, Gerrard expressed his desire to return to the dugout.

He said: "I’d love another go at some point.

"I want to change a few things and improve a few things and come back fresh, with a few different people around myself.

"I’d love another couple of challenges doing this.

"And that’s what I’m working on in the background at the moment."
