Despite the euphoria of winning the Europa League last season, Tottenham will hope to avoid the competition for many years under Thomas Frank.

The Dane has already taken four points from Tottenham’s first two Champions League games this season, as a 2-2 draw against Bodo/Glimt followed a 1-0 win over Villarreal.

Spurs could have faced Mikey Moore in the competition had Rangers defeated Club Brugge in a playoff, but a 9-1 loss on aggregate sent the Glaswegian giants into the Europa League instead.
