It is early days in Rangers' hunt for a new manager, but then again Andrew Cavenagh has hinted at a reasonably quick appointment.

As is always the case, a number of names are being banded about and many of them have been mentioned through the years - Steven Gerrard, Sean Dyche and Derek McInnes to name but a few.

Dyche has since been ruled out of the running with Rangers Review reporting he will not be the next permanent Ibrox boss.

As for the other pair, talkSPORT have delivered an update on the situations of both Gerrard and McInnes.

There have already been reports the former may not be keen on a return for financial reasons and a need to stay out in Bahrain where he currently resides.
