The Owls had a busy transfer window despite being in administration. We’ve rated each Sheffield Wednesday January incoming and outgoing.

At the start of the window, it was hoped that Wednesday wouldn’t need to let too many players depart. It became apparent that the club would need to sell players to ensure the financial future of the club, should the proposed takeover not go through.

Incomings were always going to be difficult. No fees could be spent on players, and most loan costs had to be paid by the parent clubs. Add to that, each signing had to be reviewed by the EFL on a case-by-case basis. However, they did manage to bring in some players.
