This season always felt like it was going to be a long, old slog, and it’s proven to be just that for Sheffield Wednesday.

Mass exodus last summer. Players sold on the cheap. Stadium in dire need of a lick of paint and then some. One win all season. Only nine draws. Relegated in February, by Sheffield United, at the Lane.

But thankfully, Dejphon Chansiri is gone. Although his shadow still looms over Hillsborough as we wait to see if he has any dignity and decides to give up the money he’s owed, saving Wednesday from -15 in League One.

Arise looks promising. Not just David Storch’s tweets and well-spoken interviews, but the overall feel from the new proposed owners seems right.
