Sheffield Wednesday were defeated by Stoke City on Good Friday. Speaking after the game, Henrik Pedersen has pinpointed where the Owls went wrong.

It was yet another game where Sheffield Wednesday were picked apart too easily and struggled to show lots of attacking intent.

Their lack of attacking quality was fixed with a triple substitution, but it was too late for the Owls, who were already two goals down.

The lack of bravery going forward was something manager Pedersen commented on when speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield after the game.

Speaking after the game, Pedersen wasn’t shy to hide some of his displeasure with his side’s performance. Although he did praise parts of his side’s performance:

“I think we had two different halves. First half, we defended well.

“We knew the first 15-20 minutes would be tough because Stoke are a team that is very good on the ball.

“We were organised and didn’t concede any chances. We worked hard; we were not good enough or brave enough in transition.
