Albion shared a 1-1 draw at Wolves – a ground where they have still never lost in front of fans in the top flight.

Here are five things we saw and/heard on a trip to windswept Molineux.

JP leads the way

Jan Paul van Hecke’s reaction to the goal was similar to Danny Welbeck after equalising at Chelsea. Running in front of the away fans while obviously determined to go on and get the winner. Great to see. But, as it turned out, the remaining ten minutes were a bit like some of those clips you see on social media showing what football was like in the 1980s and 1990s. not pretty. Still, the afternoon could have been worse.

Change for the worse

Premier League clubs try to rev their fans up before kick-off but Wolves seem to be doing the opposite. Their traditional “Hi ho, Wolverhampton” has been moved forward to before the teams’ entry and there was a half-hearted feel to it. It took Jarred Gillett to get the locals going.
