Preston North End are back in action this Easter weekend as they take on struggling Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Friday.

After a lengthy international break that seemed to have lasted an eternity, North End will be looking to get their form rolling after their previous outing.

A 3-1 win over Stoke City at Deepdale before the break provided the Lilywhites the confidence boost and signifier needed during their torrid vein of form.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side had to dig deep in order to comeback from an early Sobra Thomas goal which was thought to be a dagger to the heart given Preston’s fortunes at the time.

They ended their winless run of seven games which saw the club lose five games in total over that stretch.

Leicester City and Gary Rowett await them as the Foxes will host the clash, with the former Birmingham City manager hoping to steady the ship in order to prevent relegation to League One.

It’s been a miserable season for the former Premier League champions, 10 years on since that famous title win, they are now staring League One in the face.
