New Huddersfield Town recruit Cameron Humphreys said he “really enjoyed being back out on the pitch” after making his debut for the club at the weekend.

The 22-year-old joined the Terriers on loan for the remainder of the season at the back end of last week, and was brought straight into the starting line-up for Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Stockport County.

Humphreys played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s encounter, having been limited to making just four appearances for Ipswich Town in the first half of the campaign, and the midfielder told HTTV: “I really enjoyed being back out on the pitch.

“The lads have been really good to me the last few days, obviously know the manager previously, so getting to know all the staff’s been good, and I want to be playing football, so I’m happy to be here, happy to be playing, but I want to contribute and I want to push the team to wins, so that’s the main thing.”
