Chris Sutton has described Celtic’s run-around from Midtjylland as a sobering night.

Following the win at Hampden on Sunday there were plenty claiming that a corner had been turned. O’Neill has sprinkled magic dust over the squad with Celtic heading towards a repeat of the glories of O’Neill first time around.

Sutton was front and centre of that period. Alongside Henrik Larsson and John Hartson. On Sunday against Kilmarnock O’Neill’s entire striking options will consist of Johnny Kenny and Daizen Maeda.

Sobering night for Celtic… no great surprise. Midtylland better in every department. Great to see MON return and the wins against Falkirk and Rangers but id hate to see MON stay on too long and damage his legacy. This isn’t on him at all. New manager needed in place asap?
