Former Rangers player Kevin Mbabu has taken a swipe at Celtic.

The right-back, who had a brief loan spell at Rangers in 2015, is now with FC Midtjylland, who defeated Celtic 3-1 in their Europa League clash last night.

This victory marked Midtjylland's fourth consecutive win in the league phase, placing them at the top of the standings as the only team with a perfect record.

After the match, the Swiss international couldn't resist a dig at Celtic, stating that his team "destroyed them."

He told Danish TV: "We showed from the first second that we wanted it more than the opponent.

"The only word I can find for it is that we destroyed them.

"That's why we were rewarded with three goals and now have a victory."

Mbabu, who has played for clubs including Young Boys, Wolfsburg, and Fulham, has had a successful career since his short stint at Rangers.

Midtjylland's victory over Celtic saw them score three goals in eight first-half minutes, with the visitors scoring a late consolation penalty.
