With the average lifespan of an Ibrox manager dropping again after the sacking of Russell Martin, one thing is clear: Danny Röhl doesn’t plan on going down that same dark road. He’s trying not to give their fans a single reason to turn on him—beyond the club’s results, which are already pretty poor.

Still, there’s a segment of the media giving Röhl every benefit of the doubt.

And that’s good for us.

I actually laughed last night when I read he’d helped the Union Brats with their latest tifo. What even is that? What is wrong with this guy? Does he seriously believe that pandering to the worst element of their support is going to win him friends when it really matters?

Because when it does matter—when results start to spiral—those people won’t care that Röhl helped them hang up a banner.

Not that they’re making much upward progress anyway. His record so far? Five games. Three losses. Two wins. And one of those wins could’ve been snatched away at the death if Hibs hadn’t missed a last-minute penalty.

But Röhl is doing his bit to keep the morale as high as he can.
