Celtic suffered a 3-1 loss to FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday. It was their first defeat since Brendan Rodgers’s departure in October.

The Danish club dominated Celtic and were superior at the MCH Arena. They had 60% possession and made 23 attempts, of which 12 were on target. The Bhoys had three of their five shots on target.

Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel impressed for the visitors but couldn’t stop the defeat.

Ekstra Bladet reports the Denmark international repeatedly appeared frustrated during the game.

They say he was ‘clearly not satisfied’ with Celtic’s performance against Midtjylland. After the match, the Danish media caught up with the 39-year-old’s Celtic teammate, Benjamin Nygren.

The 24-year-old winger was asked to share his views on Schmeichel’s frustrations during the game. Nygren said he understands the stopper’s reactions.

“Well, of course. We are all really irritated. None of us want to lose games. We want to win every game, so of course we aren’t satisfied,” he said.
