Academy prospect Finn Geragusian has received glowing praise from Sunderland head coach Regis Bris.

The 18-year-old forward has enjoyed a strong season across the club’s academy sides, scoring 13 goals and registering three assists, while continuing to gain experience with the U21s.

Frenchman Le Bris has spoken highly of the teenager, highlighting the young striker’s development and potential within Sunderland’s pathway.

Geragusian has also taken important steps towards senior football. He was included in a first-team matchday squad for the FA Cup clash against Port Vale and recently made his senior international debut for the Armenia national team against Belarus, qualifying through his grandfather.

Le Bris has been impressed by what he has seen from the young striker in training and has told the second-year scholar the next steps he must take.

“He has had a few training sessions with us and I appreciate his profile,” he told safc.com. “He’s a good lad and really well connected with the club and the region.”
