Ibrox Noise understands that there is legitimate interest in Rangers striker Youssef Chermiti after his very bizarre season at Ibrox. The Rangers forward, who of course starred for the Portuguese under 21s recently on the international break, has been a very controversial figure this season.

After an incredibly slow start, especially based on the £11M transfer fee, the controversy was around him. Indeed his work attitude at the time led to an extremely unwanted striker, very unpopular on the team sheets with fans. That brace at Parkhead definitely changed perception towards him. Then his hat trick against Hearts further amplified this. Last but not least, his double against Celtic at Ibrox turned him into something of a cult figure.

However, those were the only three matches this whole season that Chermiti has actually delivered anything. Three massive matches, three bizarre aberrations. His numbers for the season are fairly average, but there is genuinely interest in him, and this is all down to a massively improved Rangers situation.
