A Rangers loan star has revealed he was sidelined for six weeks due to myocarditis last season.

The winger, highly regarded as a key player and fan favourite at Ibrox, disclosed the illness halted his promising start at Tottenham.

In a Tottenham YouTube documentary about his time at Rangers, the teenager spoke candidly about his battle.

He said he began experiencing chest pains just before a planned appearance in a Europa League game.

In the documentary, he said: "I was playing really well and started to find my feet in the first team just before the Galatasaray game.

"I trained two days before it and I was set to start or make an appearance in that game.

"I went for a driving lesson that night and all of a sudden I felt a bit of pain in my chest.

"The doctor called me in and said to forget about football for now."
