Relegation-threatened Rotherham United are the visitors to The LNER Stadium this weekend. Michael Skubala assessed the challenges posed by the opposition’s unexpected tactical approaches and the reasoning behind postponing the Doncaster game, but also had some concerning injury news.

Lincoln started the game really slowly, which is unusual, but were able to ‘get on top’ after thirty minutes and some half-time tweaks.

“I thought second half we were the ones pushing, chasing the game”.

MS felt if the Imps had scored their second goal earlier, they would have gone on to win due to their dominance, but you have to expect twists and turns as it is.

MS was asked about the feature of opposition managers changing tactics to counter the Imp’s threat. “It’s a new experience for us, it’s difficult”. However, the Imps need to concentrate on themselves regardless of it being very different when sides unexpectedly set up differently. It can be difficult to get messages to the players in stadiums to adapt as quickly as possible when that does happen, but MS thought once they did, the side did really well.
