Ross McCormack believes Rangers have signed the ideal player needed for them.

Rangers have had a busy transfer window as Danny Rohl has been backed by the board with the players he wanted.

The Gers are only six points behind league leaders Hearts in the SPFL table and have a game in hand, setting up the scene for a mouth-watering title race that also includes rivals Celtic.

McCormack has been blown away by the Gers’ move to bring in Ryan Naderi in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old moved to Ibrox on a permanent transfer and signed a long-term contract.

Naderi, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches tall, will be adding much-needed height to Rangers’ attack.

McCormack also believes that he is very similar to Adam Armstrong and is lethal inside the penalty area.

In his view, Naderi finds himself in good goal-scoring positions and has also raved about his link-up play.

McCormack told Open Goal: “He’s brilliant. Brilliant at everything Rangers would need.

“Similar to what I was saying about Adam Armstrong. Sharp finisher, always in positions to score goals, strong, he’s a wee unit, good touch, good link-up play.
