Rumours move fast at Ibrox. However this latest one stretches belief beyond breaking point. Claims of a £30m Brentford bid for Nicolas Raskin exploded online overnight as reported in this Ibrox Noise piece. Yet the story collapses under basic scrutiny. Rangers fans know how this club operates. They also know how elite markets work. A £30m bid from England would have ended this instantly. That is exactly why the Rangers Raskin transfer claim never made sense near the end of that first wave.

Raskin wants a top five league move. England sits right at the top of that list as already discussed here. Therefore if an offer of that size arrived Rangers and Raskin would accept without hesitation. The club cannot turn down that money. No Scottish side could. Consequently the idea Rangers rejected such a bid is pure fantasy.

Rangers remain a selling club. That reality does not change with ambition or ownership talk as previously laid out on Ibrox Noise....
