Manchester United are among a host of Premier League clubs keen on Leicester City’s “generational talent” Jeremy Monga. 

Last season, the 16-year-old became the second-youngest player in Premier League history after making his senior debut against Newcastle United in April, aged 15 years and 271 days.

He went on to make seven top flight appearances under United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy before the Foxes’ relegation to the Championship. Monga, who primarily plays as a left winger, has earned plaudits for his lightning-quick feet and decisiveness in the final third. 

In June, the England U19 international committed to a one-year scholarship deal amid intense speculation over his future at King Power Stadium. However, he is yet to formally pen his first professional contract.

Manchester United interested in Monga

According to TBR Football, several Premier League clubs, including United, are monitoring Monga.

The outlet’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, said: “Monga is a generational talent. At just 16, he already has more first-team appearances than players like Rio Ngumoh and Max Dowman, who have made huge impacts in the Premier League this season.
