Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller has picked Dominik Szoboszlai as Liverpool’s best player, ahead of their clash in the Champions League.

BILD have comments from the Frankfurt boss today ahead of the game. He was asked to name Liverpool’s ‘key player’. And rather than going for the obvious names, it seems he decided to go left-field.

According to the Eintracht coach, it’s Szoboszlai who is at the top of his list. He knows the player well after working with him at former club RB Leipzig. The pair worked together in the second half of the 2021 season, and it seems the Liverpool midfielder left a big impression.

“I coached him in Leipzig,” he said.

“Unfortunately, he was injured for a relatively long time. He’s not the name mentioned most often among the entire star ensemble. But for me, he’s almost the most important player in this team. An absolute top player.

“Outstandingly good with the ball, superb set pieces, and he displays a sensational intensity. For me, he’s an absolute key player, a fixture in Liverpool’s game.”

Toppmöller is likely to find lots of Liverpool fans who will agree with him as well....
