Arne Slot has revealed that Alexander Isak was taken off because of groin injury in Liverpool's 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. The striker was withdrawn at half-time against the Bundesliga outfit as the Reds came from behind to end their four-game losing run.

Federico Chiesa came on in place of the Sweden international, who had been selected to start in attack alongside Hugo Ekitike for the first time against Frankfurt.

Speaking after the final whistle, Slot confirmed that the substitution had been enforced.
