Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes described his team as “fragile” after a woeful first half saw them fall to defeat at Hull.

After a “really bad” performance that was “far from the standards”, Cifuentes criticised his team’s inability to cope with Hull’s momentum and suggested his players didn’t track back with all of their effort when the hosts counter-attacked.

Hull ripped through City to score their opener in the sixth minute and had doubled their lead by half-time.

Aaron Ramsey pulled one back in an improved second half and City came close to an equaliser when Harry Winks hit the bar in added time, but they were ultimately left to rue the poor showing before the interval.

Cifuentes said: “It’s a performance that is far from the standards in the vision that I have for my team and for the club.

“The responsibility for that, we concede far too many transitions. The positioning was bad in the first half. We had to change the initial plan after 15 or 20 minutes because we couldn’t handle the transitions. It...
