Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris was pleased with his side's first half performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers but would have liked to see his side to add a second goal while they were on top.

Nordi Mukiele's first-half strike gave the Black Cats the lead justa few minutes after Wilson Isidor had a goal rules out for offside. Sunderland could have added a second midway through the half when Trai Hume's backpost header crashed off the woodwork, but it was the wrong side of the post and went out for a goal kick.

The Wearsiders did put the result beyond any doubt in injury time as Chemsdine Talbi's through ball towards Eliezer Mayenda was turned into his own goal by Wolves defender, Ladislav Krejčí.

"I'm really pleased with the first half," Le Bris said in his post-match press conference. "It was like expected. We had our game plan, the way to manage their press. We created chances and generated a strong momentum."
