Granit Xhaka is top of Enzo Le Fee’s list when discussing who he thinks has been Sunderland's most impactful signing.

The ex-Arsenal midfielder was one of 15 new recruits in the summer at the Stadium of Light – Le Fee one of them and he has played seven times and scored one goal in the Premier League.

Sunderland completed 15 transfers following their Championship play-off final win over Sheffield United.

Le Fee has now singled out one player who has been key to their success so far this term.

Speaking to Stadium Astro, Le Fee was asked for his pick about who has made the biggest difference and he had no hesitation.

“I think Granit, Granit Xhaka,” he replied. “Because he’s for me the best captain I had in my life, in my career.

"Because he’s a really good player. So of course, but for me the captain role it’s not enough to be good on the pitch, and he’s a really good guy.
