Leicester City effectively finished their 1-1 draw against Portsmouth with 10 men, manager Marti Cifuentes said, with injury and fatigue a factor in their poor showing after the break.

Cifuentes revealed after the game that substitute Bobby De Cordova-Reid hurt his hamstring shortly after entering the pitch, but had to play on with City having used up all of their subs.

The Jamaican was one of the last players to return from international duty and barely trained ahead of the game.

Cifuentes hinted that he had to make more changes than he would have liked with Jordan James tiring following his international commitments with Wales, and with Aaron Ramsey starting for the first time in over a month.

Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew, who also had long trips over the international break, were among the players brought on as subs, but none of the changes impacted the game positively.
