Julian Carranza has been handed his first Leicester City start against Portsmouth as Marti Cifuentes tries a third new striker of the season.

Deadline-day loan recruit Carranza has featured a handful of times as a substitute but now comes in from the first whistle.

Jordan Ayew started the first seven games of the campaign and Patson Daka was in for the last two, but both have been to Africa on international duty, whereas Carranza has been training at Seagrave during the past fortnight.

Between the three City strikers, just one goal has been scored over the first nine games and Cifuentes will hope that changes today.

It’s one of two changes, with the other an expected swap. Aaron Ramsey makes his first start since his debut, when he received a straight red card, the Burnley loanee coming in for Bobby De Cordova-Reid.
