Danny Murphy has given an interesting assessment of Tottenham’s rumoured attempts to bring Harry Kane back to the club.

It is an open secret that Tottenham have a first-refusal clause for Kane, and it is also common knowledge that the Lilywhites would jump at the chance to bring their record goalscorer back to the club.

We know this because Thomas Frank himself said that he would love to have Kane back at Spurs if the striker wanted to return to N17.

However, the England captain has played down his chances of returning to Tottenham, stating that while he will always be a Spurs fan, he is very happy at the Allianz Arena.

Murphy does not think there is much chance of the 33-year-old returning to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of the season.

The pundit suggested that the only reason for the striker to return would be for personal or familial reasons, and he claimed that the Spurs legend would be taking a massive step down by coming back to North London.
