A player who departed Tottenham in the summer transfer window has now claimed that he was not given enough opportunities to showcase what he can do for the North London club.

Tottenham had a busy transfer window, with seven new players coming through the door and a few exiting the club.

The jury is still out on whether this Spurs squad is stronger than the one last season, mainly because the Lilywhites lost plenty of goals due to Heung-min Son’s departure.

However, in fairness, new signing Xavi Simons is only now starting to find his feet, while Randal Kolo Muani is yet to make his Premier League debut due to his injury.

Another player Spurs let go late in the transfer window is Bryan Gil, who completed a permanent move to Girona on the back of his successful loan spell at the club last season.

The Spain international has now said that he barely got any opportunities to showcase his skills in the Premier League and admitted that he has now gotten his rhythm and confidence back as he is playing for a manager who trusts him.
