TRANMERE travel to Bristol Rovers on Saturday in the midst of alarming slump in form that has seen them go winless for seven league games and without a victory in League Two since August.

Boos followed Andy Crosby's side from the Prenton Park pitch after they lost 2-0 to Barnet last Saturday and the Rovers manager admitted the performance fully deserved the angry reaction from the Tranmere faithful.

"There obviously has to be accountability and responsibility out on the pitch but it always comes back to me," said Crosby. "I picked the team to go into competition with Barnet and we came down on the wrong side of that and deservedly so.

"We didn't deserve anything out of the game at all but the lucky thing for us is there's always another challenge, always another game, and now it's our next opponents Bristol Rovers and it's a game we're more than ready for.

"But saying we're ready is just using words - it's about what happens when the whistle blows on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock and then we'll see.
