Former Liverpool star Luis Suarez reached a goal-scoring milestone this weekend after finding the net for the 600th time in his career.

The Uruguayan has been one of the most lethal strikers of his generation, scoring relentlessly in six different countries for eight separate teams.

82 of those 600 goals came while Suarez was playing for Liverpool between 2011 and 2014.

The 38-year-old may forever be best remembered for his stint at Barcelona, where he formed one part of the famed ‘MSN’ attacking trio alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar, but he made his mark at Anfield as well.

Rousing The Kop has already had a try at picking Suarez’s best goal for Liverpool; a somewhat impossible task given the quality of his strikes in red.

And as the Uruguay legend celebrates his latest landmark, he has acknowledged the part fans of his former clubs have played in his journey.

Given the manner he reacted to scoring against Liverpool for Barcelona in 2019, some Reds fans will never quite accept Suarez into the pantheon of club greats.
