Cornelia Kapocs in action for Linkoping (Peter Sonander/SPP)

Cornelia Kapocs admitted that Liverpool are frustrated following their fifth loss in a row since the start of the Women’s Super League season.

But she added that the team is getting closer to turning things around.

The most recent defeat came at Anfield, at the hands of Manchester City.

The Reds went 1-0 up through Kapocs in the 52nd minute, before Iman Beney grabbed a leveller on 64 minutes and then Aoba Fujino got the winner four minutes from time.

“I think we deserved a bit more today,” Kapocs said to the club’s official website, “very disappointing.

“I feel like we’re getting closer, we showed up really well today. We were close but they are also a really good team. We made it hard for them today.

“We need to take the good things with us. But we need to get some points now. It’s frustrating.”

Liverpool also lost by a single goal last weekend, to a controversial London City Lionesses penalty.

“We need to keep on believing,” she went on.

“We’re getting closer and closer. We can’t do anything else than believe in ourselves. It’s just to keep going.”
