The Hatters are on the road this Tuesday, making the long journey to Bloomfield Road, to take on Blackpool.

Although the weather forecast is predicting a clear day with no rain and only a slight wind, I can’t see the Hatters filling the seats allocated to them.

The sheer distance, a 420-mile round trip on a midweek evening, will see some of those that would normally travel, opt to stay at home even if they had purchased a ticket for the day the original fixture was scheduled to be played on.

But those who have bought tickets are in for a treat.

In an age where ‘digital’ is becoming the buzz word, with the country heading deeper into the digital age, including the proposed ‘Digital ID’ system, it appears that Blackpool have issued ‘paper’ tickets for the game tomorrow evening.

What a treat, to be able to have a fond reminder of a game you spent hours and hours travelling to, instead of having a digital ticket contained deep inside your phone with the nagging feeling that just as you enter the turnstile your phone is going to fail.
