Manchester United have received a major boost in their pursuit of Arsenal prodigy Myles Lewis-Skelly, a fresh report has detailed.

United are bracing for another busy summer window, with qualification for Champions League football looking increasingly certain. Heading into Monday’s meeting with Leeds at Old Trafford, United sit in third place in the Premier League table, one point above Aston Villa and six adrift of Manchester City.

Bolstering the midfield appears to be United’s top priority but other positions could come into play, especially because a much deeper squad will be needed next season. One of these if left-back.

United are extremely light at left-back. Luke Shaw is the clear starter in the role but he cannot be relied upon to remain fit over the course of a whole campaign.
