Harry Maguire expects Manchester United to be busy in the transfer market this summer as they look to challenge for major honours again next season.

Maguire signed a new one-year contract at Old Trafford earlier this week with an option for United to extend it by another 12 months.

The club are on course to return to the Champions League after moving into third place in the Premier League under Michael Carrick, and Maguire believes United will make some key signings in the summer.

'I always wanted to be part of a squad I felt could compete,' he said. 'The recruitment went well last year, and I think it's going to be a big summer.
