West Ham could be set for a transfer raid by Aston Villa, if reports by Football Insider are anything to go by.

Crysencio Summerville is reportedly being eyed by Villa boss Unai Emery, and he’s just the latest Hammers player to be linked with a move away.

Summerville attracting attention after standout displays

Summerville has been one of the few bright sparks in a difficult season, delivering consistent performances despite West Ham’s struggles near the bottom of the table.

He’s been in excellent form since being given a regular starting role by Nuno Espirito Santo and was hugely missed, ironically against Aston Villa, when the Hammers lost just before the international break.

Financial backdrop fuels speculation

Football Insider suggest there’s a growing sense he could be prised away from the London Stadium, particularly with the club’s financial situation looking strained, with mounting debts and borrowing from high-interest sources.

Reports indicate West Ham may need to cash in this summer to balance the books, with losses mounting and relegation still a real threat — though realistically, that’s nothing new.
