Rangers and Celtic are among the clubs keen on securing the services of Kilmarnock midfielder David Watson this summer.

Watson is eyed by Danny Rohl as the Gers hierarchy are set to back the German with adequate funds in the transfer window.

The 21-year-old has been at Kilmarnock since 2015, but could now be on his way out at the end of the season.

According to Il Resto del Carlino, along with the two Old Firm clubs, Bologna are also keen on signing the Prestwick-born midfielder.

The Serie A club have even made an enquiry as they are shoring up their interest in the Dundee youngster.

Watson’s contract runs out at the end of the season, and as Bologna are a foreign club, they can reach a pre-contract agreement with him.

Both Rangers and Celtic will have to wait until the season finishes before they can finalise his signing.

However, talks can take place at any time and it remains to be seen if either of the Glasgow sides touch base with Watson’s representatives.
