Alan Hutton has praised Rangers attacker Djeidi Gassama following the 4-1 win against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Saturday evening.

The winger came on in place of Mikey Moore in the 86th minute, with Danny Rohl’s side leading 3-1.

Alongside other attacking players at Rangers, goals have not exactly been flowing for the 22-year-old, with just two to his name in the Scottish Premiership this term.

But, former defender Hutton has expressed how lively Gassama was following his introduction.

Gassama made the move from Sheffield Wednesday last summer and will be looking to make a difference in the season’s final stages as the Gers chase their first title since 2021.

Leading 3-1 heading into stoppage time, Rangers were looking to inflict further pain on Aberdeen, strengthening their goal difference in the process.

Despite scoring the joint-most goals in the division this term, Rohl’s side have gone without a consistent goalscorer for large parts of the season.
