Danny Rohl opted to start John Souttar ahead of Emmanuel Fernandez as Rangers beat Dundee United 4-2 at Ibrox.

Fernandez travelled during the international break and also scored his first goal for Nigeria.

The fatigue could be why Rohl decided to keep him on the bench, but it was not a decision that reaped rewards.

Stevie Clifford, who runs the Four Lads Had a Dream account on X, was far from pleased with Souttar’s defending as Amar Fatah scored for Dundee United.

The Scotland international showed the attacker on the inside, and instead of defending it and helping out Jack Butland in goal, he made an absolute mess of the situation.

He was too slow to react and ended up paying the price for it.

It was evident that Souttar should have shown him on the outside, as that would have nullified the goal threat.

Clifford was not pleased with how the centre-back was easily passed for the goal at Ibrox.
