Arsenal legend Ian Wright has heaped praise on Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko ahead of the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Red Devils returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night. Sesko scored the only goal, coming off the bench.

The 22-year-old has been in fine scoring form since the New Year. He scored as a substitute for the third time under manager Michael Carrick against the Toffees this week.

Matheus Cunha initiated the counter-attack with a brilliant long ball to Bryan Mbeumo.

The Cameroonian put the ball on the plate for Sesko, who comfortably outran James Tarkowski before slotting his effort beyond Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Speaking on The Overlap‘s Stick to Football podcast, Wright said that Sesko’s finish can be underestimated. He added that the Slovenian’s goal was fantastic.

He said: “That goal, Cunha’s work and the pass, but what was good about it, what people will underestimate is the ball has come across to Sesko and his concentration and finish.
