Nicolas Raskin had a much quieter winter transfer deadline day compared to the final stages of the summer window.

Raskin was strongly linked with a move away from Ibrox in August and early September after falling out with then-boss Russell Martin.

The Belgium international is still regularly touted with a move away, but certainly not in anywhere the same manner as five months ago.

While it is true Besiktas could still move for Raskin – or indeed any other teams in Turkey and the Netherlands while the window is still open – it seems more than likely he will stay in Glasgow.

But there has been some movement at Rangers beyond Monday evening’s deadline for Scottish clubs, which Raskin has reacted to.

It has long been expected that Danilo would leave Rangers in the winter window, although nothing was made official on deadline day.

Instead, confirmation arrived from Rangers on Tuesday, with Dutch clubs still able to finalise their own business.

Danilo has joined NEC Nijmegen on an initial loan deal, which contains an option for the Eredivisie side to make permanent.
