Jens Hjerto-Dahl’s summer transfer to Rangers may not be all that certain after all.

During the winter transfer window, Rangers were linked with Tromso star Hjerto-Dahl but a deal never came to fruition.

Weeks before the window slammed shut, Rangers plucked for Sturm Graz star Tochi Chukwuani to bolster their midfield, and the young Norwegian faded into the background.

While Rangers are currently trying to win their first Scottish Premiership title since 2021, reports suggested they were already eyeing up summer signings.

Norway Under-21 international Hjerto-Dahl, 20, appeared to be one of them but may no longer be the case.

On Tuesday, after the Scottish winter transfer window had shut, reports suggested Rangers were primed to sign Hjerto-Dahl this summer, with even his wage package being agreed.

However, according to Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack, the two teams have not reached an agreement over a summer transfer for the 6ft 4in midfielder.

The report adds that no offer has yet been made, but he will remain “under consideration” by Danny Rohl’s side.
