Rotherham ended their eight-game losing streak but remain in deep League One relegation trouble after a 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon.

Matt Hamshaw's side looked like winning their first league match since the start of November when Zak Jules put them ahead early in the second half but Marcus Browne's header with eight minutes left restricted them to a point.

The Millers, who remain five points adrift of Burton in 20th, started brightly and forced some early chances, the best of which fell to Kian Spence, whose flick from Marvin Kaleta's cross was well saved by Dons goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.

Bishop was again in action early in the second half when he palmed Sam Nombe's lashed drive over the crossbar.

The Millers pressure eventually told in the 50th minute as defender Jules tapped in from a yard out after Kaleta fizzed a ball across goal.

It could have been two shortly after but Ar'Jany Martha, who is hoping to go to the World Cup with Curacao, was twice denied by brave blocks.

Rotherham looked in control but Wimbledon levelled in the 82nd minute when Browne headed home Steve Seddon's cross.
