The last time Wimbledon were at the New York Stadium was in September 2021when Will Grigg gave the hosts the lead on 36 minutes. Michael Smith doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time with Smith getting his second and the Millers third in the dying minutes of the game giving Rotherham all 3 points.
The Millers looked to be getting the win in February 2020 despite Wimbledon taking a 30 minute lead through Max Saunders. Matt Crooks equalised on the hour mark with Freddie Ladapo putting Rotherham in front 21 minutes later. In time added on the visitors won a penalty after Adam Thompson was adjudged to have brought Joe Piggott down which Kwesi Appiah put away to send them home with a point.
Goals from Michael Smith and David Ball gave the Millers all 3 points in February 2018 with the first time that Wimbledon visited the New York Stadium, on Good Friday 2013, saw an Alex Revell goal on 76 minutes enough to give the hosts the win.
