An improved second-half performance against Aston Villa saw Arsenal progress to the fifth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with a 2-0 win at Meadow Park.

And Gunners captain Kim Little got the second goal of the afternoon after playing an assist to Stina Blackstenius to open the scoring.

“I enjoyed that, it was nice – I thought the first goal was really nice play,” Little told the club’s official website after the game.

“Beth played it into me off the shoulder of their player and I was able to find Stina, and she finished it really well so that was a really nice goal.

“Then obviously the second, being a set-piece, a bit different, but yeah, happy to get the two goals.”

The former Scotland international also reflected on what her team did differently in the second half – after Lotte Wubben-Moy had described head coach Renee Slegers’ team talk – and how it contrasted with their performance in the Women’s Super League against Manchester United last weekend.
