Louis Saha has named the England player he would ‘love’ Manchester United to sign this summer.

United will likely be able to offer potential new signings Champions League football after climbing to third in the Premier League under caretaker boss Michael Carrick.

The Red Devils are yet to decide who will be Ruben Amorim’s permanent replacement but Carrick has emerged as the frontrunner for the Old Trafford job.

Whichever manager is in charge will hope to bolster the United squad in the summer, with a central midfielder one of the key additions ahead of Casemiro’s departure at the end of the season.

But Saha also wants Manchester United to strengthen in the attacking areas and says he would ‘love’ his former club to sign Newcastle United and England winger Anthony Gordon.

Gordon has been one of the most electric wingers in the Premier League since his £45m move from Everton in 2023, scoring 17 goals this season in all competitions.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both admirers of the 25-year-old England star and Newcastle, aware of the substantial interest in Gordon, value him at £100m.
