Aberdeen fans plumbed new depths once again after Rangers’ dominant 2–0 win at Pittodrie. Fresh footage appeared online showing Dons supporters mocking the Ibrox disaster. In one video, a fan displayed the number 71 on his phone, an apparent reference to the 1971 tragedy. Another was seen making a diving gesture while passing stewards and Rangers fans. The club issued a strong statement condemning the behaviour. In light of recent commemorations, it felt especially vile. This act of disrespect caused uproar among the Rangers support. Rangers wasted no time responding. The club released a statement labelling the incident as abhorrent. They reminded fans of the significance of 2 January and the grief surrounding the 66 lives lost. The club made it clear they raised the issue with Police Scotland. However, authorities said no reports had been received at that point. That revelation angered fans further....
