Rangers: Peterborough United to laugh all the way to the bank after Emmanuel Fernandez goal clause

Rangers will probably be paying Peterborough United a bonus for Emmanuel Fernandez sooner rather than later.
The Gers spent around £3million for the centre-back, who recently made his full Nigeria debut, with the deal including a sell-on clause.
There’s also an additional goal clause Peterborough insisted on during Fernandez’s sale to Ibrox, with the Sky Bet League One outfit profiting off his prowess up front.
While the exact number of goals the defender needs to score before triggering the bonus hasn’t been mentioned, it feels like the English side will be laughing all the way to the bank, considering his recent prospects, scoring for the Super Eagles against Jordan.
Fernandez is thriving under Danny Rohl, already scoring six goals for the Glaswegian outfit this season, highlighting his effectiveness in the final third.
Kevin Thelwell was ridiculed for spending a significant sum on Fernandez, and while the former Gers sporting director made some questionable calls at Ibrox, the deal with Peterborough seems to have paid off.
Andrew Cavenagh will surely be thrilled at the prospect of making a hefty profit off the centre-back’s possible sale in the near future.
