Rangers are understood to be keen on securing the services of Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles.

The Ibrox outfit are eyeing reinforcements in the coming months and Danny Rohl is keen on a reunion with Charles.

Despite having Jack Butland and Liam Kelly as their two main keepers, Rangers are keen on signing the 20-year-old keeper.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers could be looking to capitalise on Sheffield Wednesday’s financial situation this summer.

Wednesday may look to cash in on the 20-year-old as he is entering the final year of his contract at the club.

If they do get relegated to League One, they will need to lower their wage bill and that would mean cashing in on some of their players.

The Gers will be able to sign the Manchester-born keeper for six figures, along with add-ons if that happens.
