Earlier this month, Celtic suffered a 3-1 defeat to Rangers at home. The loss at the hands of Danny Röhl’s side saw the Bhoys part ways with Wilfried Nancy. They then re-appointed Martin O’Neill as manager until the end of this season.

The battle between the Ibrox club and Celtic isn’t limited to the pitch. They are both in the picture to sign BK Häcken’s Silas Andersen in the winter market.

Last Wednesday, Bold reported Röhl’s side are ahead of Celtic in the race to sign the 21-year-old. They also stated Rangers have made contact while O’Neill’s side are waiting in the background.

Fotbollskanalen have published an interview with Häcken sporting director Martin Ericsson, and he spoke about a few topics. This included being asked the latest on Rangers and Celtic interest, and the possibility of a January exit.

The midfielder has a contract until December 2028. According to the official, the Swedish club’s desire is to keep him beyond this window. However, it’s possible for him to change clubs if a big enough offer arrives.
